POLDARK UNDER ATTACK
Move over George Warleggan! There’s a new villain set to rock Ross Poldark’s world, as disarmingly charming but unscrupulous MP and society figure Monk Adderley makes his much-anticipated debut this week, as series four of the hit Cornish costume saga Poldark continues. Despite previously refusing to become a politician, Ross has realised the only way to fight for the rights and interests of the downtrodden is at the Palace of Westminster, and last week he triumphed in the local election to win the seat of his nemesis George as MP. Now, as Ross prepares to make his maiden speech in Parliament, George is busy trying to buy his way back in by purchasing a borough, and asks his new friend Monk, (who’s taken an instant dislike to our swashbuckling hero) to help him make the necessary connections. TV Times met up with Aidan Turner, Jack Farthing and Max Bennett on Ross Poldark’s explosive battles against his old foe George and new adversary monk.
