Greetings to you, UltraMarine reader!

This issue has been a really busy one. In addition to collating the content as usual, I’ve been simultaneously setting-up and breaking down multiple tanks in preparation for an imminent house move!

Unfortunately, this means I’ve had to say goodbye to some fish that I’ve had for several years, as moving with a large tank isn’t something that I think I can handle. As luck would have it though, the lovely little Red Sea Max Nano (that also features in our ‘quick look’ review this issue) is allowing me to keep a few things. I should just about be able to manhandle that on moving day without knackering my dodgy back!

As I mentioned in the last issue, once in the new pad, I’ve already got a spot marked for a large system and hopefully the store credit I’ve hoarded will set me well on the way with this project. As soon as I’ve made some progress with the build I’ll be sure to share it. On that subject, although we don’t have one in this issue, we’ve got some superb hobbyist tank features in the pipeline. As with my house sale, I’m keeping my fingers firmly crossed that nothing falls through!

Before that, we’ve got our usual mix of livestock info, husbandry techniques, equipment reviews, expert opinion and varied news in the pages that follow… I hope you enjoy this festive issue of the magazine and of course, on behalf of myself and all those involved in the creation of the mag… we wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

See you in 2017!
