I remember the day I actually went vegan — I was on a train to London with a friend, and I was reading a wildlife magazine. I remember my friend turning round to me and saying, “I don’t understand why you aren’t vegan.” My immediate thought was, ‘well I don’t eat cheese or meat, so why aren’t I?’ From that moment on, I changed literally everything — including the contents of my kitchen and everything in my house — you name it, and I have never thought twice about it, and never missed anything that I may have had before, that I can no longer have. That was around eight years ago, and my only regret is that I didn’t do it sooner. Now, I share my home with four beautiful dogs; three are rescues, the latest addition from Wonky Pets Rescue (wonkypetsrescue.com) has only been with us for a week. I enjoy creating art, reading, movies and spending time with my boys (cows and sheep) at Hugletts Wood Farm Animal Sanctuary (@huglettswoodfarm).
I always loved to draw as a child. At school, I was drawing all of the time and I only ever wanted to be in the art block. We had an American exchange teacher for a year, who really fuelled my interest further by introducing me to a lot of different styles of art and artists, and I still admire her work to this day.
