Your carbon footprint can be described as the mark you leave on the environment, which is made through every action and product that releases carbon. This harmful chemical element can be produced by burning fossil fuel; the more you burn, the bigger your footprint becomes. Carbons trap heat into the atmosphere, causing the temperature of our planet to rise — otherwise known as global warming. Everything we use, including the food we eat, the clothes we wear and the beds we sleep in, will have their own carbon footprints, as harmful gases are emitted during the production of all items. Because of this, it’s impossible not to have a carbon footprint, however, there are simple steps we can all take to reduce our impact on the Earth.
