IAME Euro Series Karting des Fagnes (Mariembourg), 27 May 2018 - Round 2
Sten Piirimagi takes it all after the first two runs of the IAME Euro Series. In the general classifications, the Estonian leads the group with 178 points, 8 more than his direct rival Thierry Delré.
Four categories, 140 drivers, one goal: to win in the IAME Euro Series by RGMMC, with the event staged at Karting des Fagnes in Mariembourg, Belgium, last 27 May weekend.
Despite a slight decline in the number of drivers participating, compared to Salbris, due to school for many drivers usually involved, the show, as in France, was spellbinding at every stage of the competition. The hot sunny weather also brought out fans, especially on Sunday.
Sports-wise, the Belgian trip upset the playing cards in X30 Senior and Junior; in X30, Elie Goldstein collected the legacy of Mark Kimber, much in evidence in Salbris, while in Junior, Enzo Joule pushed Lewis Gilbert from the top step of the podium. In X30 Shifter and Mini, Sten Piirimagi and Alejandro Melendez reiterated their top form, winning again.
