BREATHTAKING

At the 7 Laghi Kart in Castelletto di Branduzzo, the 4th and final round of the RGMMC-branded IAM Euro Series 2018 was staged. The geographic location of the track, located in Lombardy, that is the heart of karting, favoured the participation of numerous new entries, who took on the role of crazed variables for the drivers who instead were fighting for the continental crown by Iame.

The influence of wild cards was clear right from practice, in which none of the drivers at the top of their respective classes managed to fight for pole position; this forced the drivers fighting for the title fight to play defensively against the outsiders and to advance against their direct rivals. The competition – and the show for fans – were sure to gain.

In Normandy there was the last challenge of the European Cik Fia Championship where the German Hannes Janker (KR / Parilla) in OK and the Estonian Paul Aron (FA Kart / Vortex) in OKJ conquered the Continental title with performances not up to par.
OK Patterson, a cut above the rest
The weekend at OUEST Karting started immediately with a surprise: Dexter Patterson’s pole position. The 2017 OKJ World Champion, after a long time spent in Forza Racing, showed up in France in the team led by Dino Chiesa to score the best time with just over a tenth ahead of Harry Thompson.
