PATRIK HÁJEKI (KOSMIC / VORTEX)I
«After what happened last year, it is a dream to have managed to win the World Championship. It is an indescribable emotion. The vehicle was perfect. I want to thank all the Kosmic team and the OTK group».
The World Championship playing itself out in a single race is always a lottery. And what was seen in Belgium in the season’s most important competition for the gearbox class confirms expectations. In Genk, with a sensational audience (5000 spectators) as a backdrop, Patrick Hayek wins a deserved KZ World Title.
This year the story was different as Hájek assumed the role of orchestra conductor of a perfect symphony, a race led from start to finish. There was nothing Rick Dreezen and Fabian Federer could do, both having to content themselves with the remaining steps on the podium. The final was immediately orphaned of Marijn Kremers and Simo Puhakka, two other accredited wouldbe protagonists of the world championship race in Belgium.
