In Brazil to win

The 227 participants experienced a very difficult weekend to find the right setup during free practice. Heavy rains affected performance during qualifying, and most of them had never driven on this 1264-meter track. Fortunately, weather conditions improved considerably, thus offering the ideal track conditions of the final phase, which saw spectacular races, races also attended by Darrell Smith, Rotax’s Technical Manager, and Takuma Sato, winner of the Indianapolis 500.

Micro – At the end of the qualifiers, Haruto Nakai and Ryo Sakai managed to conquer the first row of the final. From the start, the race displayed the supremacy of a platoon of 7 drivers. And none of them were going to give up. The passages along some of the most challenging sections of the circuit, such as the one that leads to the downhill section, were exciting, highlighting the efforts and initiatives of the drivers. Nakai, Sakai and Shota Fujii set the pace, while Sun Xiao Yu, Lee Kanato and Fuji Kishi were slightly behind but all ready to take advantage of the slightest opportunity. After a riveting tussle, Ryo beats Nakai, with Sun Xiao Yu managing to get onto the podium in the very last meter.
