The differences in the pumps

Let’s compare the results obtained by the water pumps we have tested so far, trying to understand how we could exploit these charts obtained in collaboration with Officine in Progress.

During the last several issues of Vroom in which we dealt with water-cooling as interpreted for karts, we put a few models of pumps on the test bench. At this juncture, we would therefore like to take stock of the situation, directly comparing the various results. Not only that: we have also added pressure testing for all these pumps. In the photos you can also see the “sensor group” used, which includes the measurement of hydraulic pressure in the circuit and that of the amount of water passing by (flow meter). We’d like to point out that the system has been assembled in such a way as to guarantee an internal passage section that is always constant and equal to that of the pipes, so as not to interfere with the flow itself and with the relative measurements, which were carried out in collaboration with Officine in Progress and with the help of Andrea Saccucci.


The various pumps tested up to now amount to eight, but in reality we do seven because in the case of the New Line pumps the construction and the results of the model sold with this brand or with the “second brand”, EM Technology, are identical.
