RACE REPORT
KZ2 LAMMERS IS BACK
The premier class thrills as always, thanks also to the calendar being restricted to two stages (Lonato and Sarno) and to the high number of participants. Both of the Super Master Series stages have thus served as previews to the long-awaited now forthcoming FIA season. The two tracks will indeed be the scene of more battles for the European and World titles in the coming months. As it is, Sodi Kart can breathe a sigh of relief and dream big for the next races. Two victories in two stages earned the French house the role of favorite in KZ2, with Renaudin winning in Lonato and Lammers in Sarno. Bas Lammers is the most celebrated of all, having risen to the top again after a difficult 2018. The Dutchman was able to establish himself in the first weekend of Lonato by domi nating the heats and the pre-final, bowing out only in the decisive race before his teammate. A second place that, in any case, projects the Dutch driver to the top of the rankings, and coming to Sarno as the favorite to win the trophy. On the Naples track, Lammers lives a two-faced weekend: a hard time in qualifying and in the three heats available, while on Sunday of the finals the Sodi driver becomes the protagonist of four fundamental passes to win the prefinal and, last but not least, putting in the winning move against Ardigò during the final. A success that, for the next European FIA, puts Bas Lammers among the top contenders for the final victory.
