Very Normal Tester

Injury to the ribs is unfortunately one of the most unpleasant problems for the kart driver, whether he or she is a professional ighting for the World Cup who is forced to miss two races or the father of a family who engages in Rental.

This is because the fracture of a rib is a medium-severe injury and is sometimes associated with secondary injuries (when the rib breaks into several parts) such as bleeding and possible damage to internal organs - pneumothorax, lesions of the abdominal viscera and spleen in the irst place. A simple crack, less traumatic, can still cause severe pain, discomfort in breathing and during sleep. It is not dificult to imagine then that in many cases, following this type of accident - especially for non-professional drivers - it is a deinitive stop to karting, especially past a certain age.

For this reason we have thought of a test on the track that would involve them, amateurs who have the desire to continue having fun and who for reasons of age, physical form or size feel the need to have to protect themselves adequately. On this occasion we tested the PRO-TOR EIP rib protection vest by Mir, already known to many for its features and materials, which we will look into below. We did this by using “normal” drivers as testers, that is a range of amateur drivers, both racing competitively and not, who best represents the foundation of our sport.
