The Mika Salo Circuit greets and ends the Junior season after all the polemics on the eve. A weekend marked by safety issues and their after-effects that the FIA could not ignore. From the sporting point of view, and not only, the year’s last event offered some interesting points for the all-round show and the runners in the field. Saturday’s heavy rain reshuffled the title contenders, thanks to two more heats than usual and the uncertain conditions on Sunday. After a weekend at the top, Thomas Ten Brinke (Ricky Flynn Motorsport) makes the title his own, becoming the new World Champion and avenging a European crown that escaped him at Le Mans. Applause for the Brazilian Rafael Camara (Forza Racing), second in front of the weekend’s fairy tale of Kajus Siksnelis (Ward Racing).
Starting line-up of the OKJ final. First row all OTK with Thomas Ten Brinke (103) and Marti Sobrepera (117). Weekend more than positive for the Spaniard from Tony Kart, forced to finish fourth after having been on the virtual podium for more than half the race.
