The organisation of the 2020 vintage kart reunion, now in its 16th year, was undertaken by Joe Swantek who has taken over from Louie Figone the previous promoter. The event was again titled the ‘Ladybug’ Faye Pierson vintage kart reunion to celebrate the karting achievements of the lady known as the Queen of Karting. Faye now a nonagenarian made a number of demonstration laps driving her 1966 Bug Sprint powered by a trusty McCulloch prepared by Terry Ives, another living American karting Legend, who is succeeding admirably at keeping the old man out.

One hundred and five competitors registered for the event which was larger than ever making the paddock full to capacity at the historic Adams Kart Track, a karting facility in existence since 1959, located at 24th Street on the outskirts of the city of Riverside, California. The proceedings started on Thursday with open practice followed by lunch compliments of Max-Torque, the Chicago based clutch manufacturer, a company involved with karting since 1959. Jim Donovan the Vice President of Max-Torque capably assisted by VKA magazine editor Rolf Hill cooked and served the complimentary appetising burgers and hotdogs with all the trimmings. Following the afternoon testing sessions Thursday dinner, also at the track, took the form of a pizza party and was provided compliments of the VKA.
