Foliage is the new flower

When Pantone declared that its colour of the year was greenery, no one in the wedding industry batted an eyelid. We couldn’t help but notice how rich foliage and fresh plants were popping up everywhere – and it’s no surprise! Fresh, clean-looking, modern and yet romantic, these chic and simple designs are just crying out to make a statement; some industry experts are calling it the new minimalist, although where greenery is concerned, we say the more the better! Not only will this magical look transform any venue into something lavish and lush, it can also be more cost-friendly than your standard florals. So bring in the botanicals, we say, as this organic ambience will work beautifully for any wedding, with the simple touch of a leaf (sorry, couldn’t resist).

KOMAN PHOTOGRAPHY

If you want an unusual bouquet that will highlight and complement your theme, then consider going green. A cool and trendy alternative to flowers, an oversized bouquet with elegant, trailing foliage has an ethereal feel to it and is sure to turn heads. Plus, since greenery arrives in so many beautiful hues, textures, and shapes, there is lots of room for creativity.
