Well Being Journal  |  Sep/Oct 2019
Nostalgia is a feeling you experience after you move away from home. You return for a visit and family members, friends, all evoke from you memories and feelings of who you were. Sometimes you feel a conflict between who you’ve become and who you were. There’s an aboriginal proverb that we are all visitors to this time and place. That our purpose here is to observe, to learn, to grow, to love...and then we return Home—to
the field—the heart of existence, with our new, expanded consciousness. Home in that context is an eternal, expanding state of being. You add to this expansion by your experiences. Throughout history, globally, people have used mushrooms medicinally as well as for expansive therapeutic experiences. Readers have frequently asked us to publish more vital information about the diversity of these widespread and beneficial
fungi. Later in this issue, you will read about patients who realized mushrooms used in guided therapeutic settings were beneficial—and some of them experienced awareness of a field, or all-inclusive state of consciousness.
