STEPHANIE DUTTON

From milton keynes • Age 62 Job Swimming teacher, specialising in fear of water

Stephanie started running after her grandson Harry asked her to do a 10K and within months she’d joined a club, Redway Runners, and signed up to its Zero to Hero programme to run a marathon. Injury forced her to take a step back from that until next year – and in the meantime Stephanie is taking on Bath Hilly Half with the Project Trail team and has discovered a real love of running off road.

How is your training going?

It’s going really well. I took last week off because there’s a little niggle going on in my shin but other than that it’s going well. I’m training in the gym, I’m swimming and I’m trail running. Although last week I did some road running but it was really good.
