North Yorkshire poetry organisation Settle Sessions is inviting entries for its 2017 Poetry Competition.
The competition is for original, unpublished poems up to forty lines. There is a first prize of £150, a second prize of £100 and a third prize of £75. There is also a Young Poet prize of £50 for the best entry by a poet aged 18-21. The judge is Kim Moore, who is co-director of Kendal Poetry Festival.
Type poems on single sheets of A4 (one poem per sheet) with a line count at the top of the page. The poet’s name must not appear on the manuscript. Include a separate sheet detailing poem titles, name, address, telephone and email address, and how you heard about the competition. Poets aged 18-21 should also include their date of birth to be eligible for the Young Poet prize.
