Keep your table protected and set the scene for cosy dinner parties with this appliqué table runner, which features a quilted design and quirky fabric prints.
1 Begin by cutting the front and back pieces for the main body of the runner. You can make this to any size, to suit your table – we cut ours to 30cm wide and 1m long. Additionally, cut a piece of medium-weight quilt wadding to the same size. Press the front and back fabrics with a warm iron.
2 Lay one of the fabric pieces out with the right-side facing down. Place the quilt wadding on top, aligning the edges. Lay the second piece of fabric on top, with right-side facing up. Pin the layers together to hold them securely.
