3 ways with... fresh figs
● Preheat the oven to 200ºC/400ºF/Gas Mark 6. In an ovenproof dish place a layer of halved figs. Place 1 or 2 star anise between the fruit, then dot each fig with butter and honey and sprinkle with orange juice, soft brown sugar, ground ginger and ground cinnamon. Roast for about 15 minutes, or until soft. Serve with mascarpone or crème fraîche.
