When I gave birth to Atticus, my husband said: “He stands out among the babies in the nursery, he just looks different and more handsome.” At first, I thought he just said that because he is the father of the child, but as my Atticus grows up, I know he is exceptional.
The first thing I noticed about my child was he is always prone to infections. From the time he was born he had to stay in the nursery due to infection. He remained there until the day we were discharged from the hospital. He had rashes all over his body and he was given a special milk formula for lactose intolerance.
Busy times
I was a busy mom then. The hustles occupied me so much that I had less time for my child, even to talk to him and play with him. I am a public school teacher, and the face-to-face classes back then drained all my energy.
