Techeetah has taken 14 Formula E wins since entering the category in 2017, just three behind the record-holding e-Dams team. Nine of those wins have come using DS powertrains.

Even from inside the pit, it’s hard to spot a dividing line between DS as a car manufacturer and Techeetah as a race team – because there basically isn’t one.

“Historically, some manufacturers have had full factory teams, while some outsource it all,” says Techeetah team boss Mark Preston. “But our set up is basically unique. We’re a privateer race team but we’re based inside the manufacturer, and we’ve got shared mechanicals and engineers.”
Inside London’s Excel exhibition centre, fireworks are going off and there are cheers of joy as Alex Lynn and Mahindra Racing celebrate an unlikely Formula E race victory.
