An aluminium bonnet and plastic doors joined bodywork from the Carrera 2, but the GT3 sat 30mm lower. The flat six achieved a stunning 114bhp per litre. Adaptive damping, traction control and variable-rack steering were standard, while the rear LSD, multi-adjustable suspension and Clubsport pack appealed to racers.
