Grohl Hearted
Two recent bassistcentred stories have Foo Fighters frontman and former Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl in common. The first concerns the affable rocker’s reputed desire to reunite the former supergroup Them Crooked Vultures, a trio which also features Josh Homme of Queens Of The Stone Age and John Paul Jones of up-and-coming hard rock act Led Zeppelin. Although the group never released a follow-up to their 2009 debut album, Grohl has revealed that he wouldn’t be against the idea of reuniting with his former bandmates to record a Them Crooked Vultures Volume Two. In fact, he’s all for the idea, admitting that recording a second album would be “a dream come true”. He said of Jones, “He is one of the most wonderful, generous, kind people you’ve ever met. He’s obviously brilliant, but he’s also just cool!”
