It’s that time of year when everyone is thinking of their resolutions. I absolutely applaud that. After all, how can you get to a destination without aiming to get there?
Intention-setting had a pivotal role in my life. When I started to get specific and conscious about what it was that I wanted from life, I found that, like magic, things started to click into place.
However, I don’t use ‘resolutions’ as a way of navigating through the changes that I’m looking for. Resolutions can often be wanting what we ‘should’ be – we should be skinnier, we should move more. And this really isn’t helpful for us to commit to what our deepest desires are.
