01. LUKA DONCIC, DALLAS MAVERICKS

The expectations on Luka Doncic were astronomical. His form in Spain, which is widely regarded as the best basketball league in the world outside of the NBA, showed he was ready to make an impact on the highest stage, yet he’s somehow exceeding the hype placed on him before the draft.

Doncic is the best player on a team that’s now a playoff contender and is possibly even an All-Star candidate in a stacked Western Conference. Doncic is averaging nearly 18 points per game on 42.8 FG% while shooting 36.4% from three and is dishing out 4.5 APG to go with 6.8 RPG. The Dallas rookie is a walking highlight reel with his creative passes, dribbling, and step-back threes. If he continues at this pace, he has the Rookie of the Year award locked down.
