We don’t often talk about sleeper kickers, especially when it comes to the Chargers, but Mike Badgley has the potential to be a quality Fantasy option this season. He appeared in 10 games for the Chargers in 2018 and made 15-of-16 field goals, including one from 50 yards, as well as 27-of-28 PATs. The Chargers have a high-powered offense, and Badgley should have plenty of chances for scoring opportunities. He’s someone to target as a No. 1 Fantasy kicker with a late-round pick.

In the past two seasons, Dan Bailey has gone from Fantasy hero to suspect placekicker. That’s because his field-goal accuracy has dipped to 75 percent over his last 59 tries. He’s been especially troublesome from 40-plus yards, making 12 of his last 21 (57 percent). That’s icky. You should be able to do better than Bailey on Draft Day while also realizing that he’ll be available off waivers if/when you need a kicker.

Chris Blewitt will compete for the Bears’ kicking job in training camp this summer. He has never kicked in the NFL. In four years with the Pitt Panthers from 2013-16, he made 69.6 percent of his field goals and 97.1 percent of his extra points. The only way he’ll be on Fantasy rosters is if he shows consistency to start the season.

A lot of people will call on Chris Boswell to be their Fantasy kicker just because he works for the Steelers. Should they? Boswell is coming off a horrid 2018 where he connected on just 65 percent of his field goals (seven misses between 30 and 49 yards), missed five extra points and only got a crack at 20 field goals in 15 games. You’d think he’d be a candidate to get competition, but the Steelers owe him a good deal of money on his contract and would lose cap space if they released him. Truthfully, Boswell’s a good kicker (career 85.2 percent rate) on a team that usually tries a lot of field goals. If it comes to pass through September that Boswell isn’t scoring enough points, boot him off your team for someone else. He’s final-round pick material.
