Bowls International aims to cater for everyone, a hub for people to share their love of bowls, pick up new tips, be informed about current issues in the sport and learn about what's happening around the world from grassroots level through to the elite.
No other magazine offers detailed tournament reports, in-depth features, news, reviews and player interviews. We also celebrate the good that is happening in terms of recruitment, volunteering and successful schemes to attract and maintain membership.
I like to think of bowls clubs as the heart of the sport and without them the bowls family cannot develop. In every family you find characters, and here you will find interviews with leading players from England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales.
The current Bowls England women's singles champion Kirsty Richards talks candidly and exclusively to Bowls International about her psychological battles on the green and what she did to overcome them in order to achieve her dream of winning the national singles title with her last bowl.
If you take one thing away from this special sample issue, I hope it is the passion that we at the magazine have about bowls in all its forms.
