SIXTEEN SUMMER BULBS TO PLANT NOW
Most gardeners and nurseries use the term ‘summer bulbs’ very loosely. Along with true bulbs, it is applied to both hardy and tender plants, as well as what
are technically rhizomes, corms, tubers and even perennials with fleshy roots.
But although it is occasionally useful to know precisely what that dry lump in
your hand is botanically, it doesn’t usually matter. More important is to
understand what to do with it, and when.
