I just checked the advance weather forecasts for the contiguous United States for the next several months as I was hoping to help you frame up some expectations for the winter season. At best, it was an interesting way to spend some time because I didn’t come away with anything of significant value for you. The fact is, it’s too early to tell with an approximation of actionable certainty for even large areas of the country. So my advice would be to prepare for a bad winter, then find and f ollow an accurate weather forecast service that can give you notice about dangerous spikes in your area far enough in advance that you can fine-tune your preps before an event strikes.
