FOLLOWING the appearance of one of her works at the recent Royal Academy exhibition, Abstract Expressionism, Louise Nevelson (1899-1988) could be due a re-evaluation.
Such, at least, is the opinion of Cortesi Gallery, whose ongoing exhibition in its Lugano space focuses on some of Nevelson’s most recognisable works.
It comprises 29 of the assemblages and collages the artist completed from 1960-80, many from the Fondazione Marconi in Milan, which often represented the artist during her life.
