For the Fine Art Society in Edinburgh, the year kicks off with an exhibition of 20th century printmaking.
The show running until February 10 at the Dundas Street gallery includes etchings, linocuts, woodcuts and engravings. Around 30 works by artists such as John Rankine Barclay, David Sinclair and Henry Rushbury are on offer.
Featured works include Scottish scenes, such as Glencoe (1928), pictured below right, by James McIntosh Patrick (1907-98), celebrated for his images of the Angus landscape and Dundee.
