Two lots offering heraldic manuscripts – one of them being of particular regional interest – produced the highest bids in a mixed sale of collectables and militaria held in Shrewsbury.
Sold for £7500 by Halls (20% buyer’s premium) on August 29 was a vellum pedigree, dated 1591, that displayed “…the Pedegree and Atchyvement of the Right Worshipfull Francys Vychan of the Countye of Yorckshyre”.
