Guides’ tea and cakes to celebrate cash injection

THE GIRLS of 1st Tarbert Guides are to host an afternoon tea to celebrate a big funding boost.

The Guide unit was thrilled to be awarded £2,357 by the Coop Community Fund in April. The girls have already put the funding to good use ‘trying and testing’ activities available locally, such as glass engraving and candle making workshops, while some of the money will go to help with travel costs to Girl Guiding camps and residential events being held across the country this year.
