Let’s work together

There is no question, as large organisations desert Argyll we must come together for the greater good. In this edition alone we read about positive moves in Tarbert to take on the former tourist ofice for local people – but only because our national tourism body is leaving town.

And make no mistake, Inveraray will lose its last bank, because that is what RBS bosses intend to happen – and they care not a jot for pensioners in Glenaray or Furnace – if people do not stand together and make such a racket they hear it in Edinburgh and London.

By all accounts the folks from Johnston Carmichael were perfectly nice when they visited Inveraray on Wednesday and let us hope they listen to the heartfelt concerns expressed. But if you haven’t yet made your point – do it by next Tuesday or it will be too late.
