A RURAL gathering would not be the same without delicious home baking, and that’s exactly what was being served at the Mid Argyll SWI group coffee morning.

Lochgilphead Parish Church Hall was filled with friends and members of institutes from Kilmichael Glassary, Ford, Tarbert and Lochgilphead for the event, at which the beautiful Kilmartin cloth was on display.
The hall was packed for the coffee morning and competition.

There was baking, but it would not have been a Rural gathering without a competition, and last Saturday’s coffee morning also saw Mid Argyll institutes compete in contests for embroidery with an Easter theme, savoury biscuits and three-fruit marmalade.
