New specialised re-lining technique to be used
SCOTTISH Water has started a £700,000 project to repair the sewer network in Kilmory, Lochgilphead. Following camera surveys of the existing sewer, Scottish Water’s partner amey Black and Veatch (aBV) has identified areas that need to be completely replaced because of their poor condition.
In contrast with traditional excavation which will be necessary in particular areas, some of the sewers in the residential estate can be upgraded by using a re-lining method of construction – significantly reducing the extent of excavations needed.
