Tarbert Fèis hits the high notes

TRADITIONAL music charity Fèis an Tairbeirt held its latest workshops in Tarbert on Saturday May 12.

In the last fèis before summer, budding musicians and singers went along to Tarbert Academy for expert tuition.

Fèis in Scottish Gaelic means ‘festival’ or ‘feast’ and has come to mean a tuition festival, usually for children and young people, which celebrates the music and song culture connected with the Gaelic language.
