NORTH Kintyre ramblers could soon be looking out their walking boots and waterproofs as progress marches on with repairs to Tarbert’s White Shore Path.
Work continued this month with the demolition of the path’s decaying wooden bridge, while a grant from Paths for All allowed an excavator hire from local contractor Steven Johnstone, who put culverts in place and formed the earthworks for the short length of new pathway. Elsewhere, piping and sandbagging work took place along the pathway’s coastal stretches.
