Argyll and the Isles Coast and Countryside Trust (ACT) are offering 10 prizes of £100 to schools, clubs, nurseries, playgroups or organisati ons within Argyll and Bute. All entrants have to do is re-create their favourite place, building or area of the coast or countryside of Argyll and Bute using natural materials.
Act are a partnership working to maintain, enhance and promote the coast and countryside of Argyll and the Isles so it can be enjoyed by residents, businesses and visitors forevermore. Why? Because it is a spectacular part of the world that everyone should enjoy.
We already have a lot of people behind us - The Forestry Commission Scotland, Argyll and Bute Council, Scotti sh Natural Heritage and NHS Highland, and this gives us a completely holisti c approach to achieving our vision. We hope you’ll get behind us too!
Help us by exploring your craft y side, and creati ng something that reflects the natural or historic splendour of our area. Could you make a mini mausoleum? Or sculpt some small standing stones? What about a model of a litt le loch? Last year’s competi ti on winners included Luss Primary School, Drumlemble Primary School, Innellan’s Star Bursts Playgroup, Glenfinart Walled Garden, Kilfinan Community Forest, Artmap Argyll, 1st Helensburgh Scout Group, and Fyne Families Holiday Club- all of whom won £100 each.
