KILMARTIN Museum has has said a big thank you to people in the area for the huge amount of support it has received for its development plans.
Over the summer, museum staff attended local shows and events to speak to people about the museum and the ambitious plans to enlarge and enhance it – and it seems to have paid dividends.
Meg Haig, Kilmartin Museum redevelopment project officer, said: ‘Kilmartin Museum prides itself on being a fulcrum for community activity. We have an amazing team of local volunteers, who donate their time to everything from gardening to leading our highly-rated guided glen walks. We work closely with local artists and Artmap Argyll to display and sell beautiful artworks.
‘Many members of our Friends of Kilmartin Museum are from Argyll, as are several of the aptly named Always Argyll, which generously supports our Friends Newsletter.
