IT IS disappointing to hear that the parasite burden on farmed fish has been so high in Loch Fyne.
Parasites and disease are an integral part of intensive aquaculture, as with intensive agriculture. They come with the territory. But controlling sea lice in a way that does not harm the environment must be paramount.
For the sake of our collective future, we must take care of our sea lochs, because there is far more to be lost than gained if we destroy our environment for profit.
