LAUGHTER and drama returned to Ardrishaig last week as the Argyll Drama Festival returned for its 69th instalment. Four amateur dramatic clubs from around Argyll took to the Ardrishaig Hall stage for two rip-roaring nights of entertainment.
The amateur drama companies - Benderloch and North Connel Drama Club, Lochgilphead Drama Club, Accent Players and Peninvers Players Drama Club - performed for an eager audience over Thursday and Friday last week, April 27and 28. The audience basked in the fun and frivolity of live stage productions as the casts and crews put on a feast of entertainment.
There were trophies to be won or lost, however, and adjudicator Dr Paul Dougall had the unenviable task of picking the top productions.
