An enigmatic festival is to return to the shores of Loch Fyne in 2019 after a successful inaugural event last month. ScapaFest is as far removed from the run-of-the-mill festival scene as it is possible to get. In place of raucous, think relaxation; rather than head-banging, think head space.
As for the massive clean-up operation required after every big festival - forget it. A black bin liner will do nicely. The Scapa Fest celebration of yoga and all things natural will return to Ardkinglas House, Cairndow, in May next year. The festival was the brainchild of Glasgow-based Frenchwoman Clemence Cocquet, who decided Ardkinglas offered the ideal location for this yoga-based event, which also has a slice of adventure thrown in. Loch Fyne hosts kayaking and seashore foraging, while the nearby hills and woodlands provide opportunities to explore nature’s wonders.
Festival founder and director Clemence Cocquet is planning the second Scapa Fest in 2019.
