Young people from Arran who are deaf or hard of hearing are being offered the opportunity to attend a free one-day, working safely course.
The course, which is being run by the charity Action on Hearing Loss Scotland’s Moving On service in Glasgow between 9.30am and 4.30pm on Tuesday 19 September, is open to deaf people aged 16 to 25 who are interested in gaining a recognised health and safety qualification for their CV.
The Moving On service’s employment advisors, who sign to a high standard in British Sign Language (BSL) and are fully deaf aware, help to build the confidence of young people and support them to gain vital work and life skills.
