Newlyweds could soon be glamping on Arran if planning permission gets approved for a development of a small village of tent camping pods at Ardlui near Kingscross.
A planning application has been submitted for the change of use of farmland into a campsite with 10 glamping pods. Offering sleeping accommodation for two adults and two children, the timber framed and canvas covered buildings will also feature a bathroom, kitchen, dining area and an outside deck.
Situated between Lamlash and Whiting Bay, the site offers scenic views towards Holy Isle and already provides a small number of touring caravan and motorhome facilities. The planning application includes two of the pods being allocated as deluxe honeymoon units as well as a separate car park and the relocation of the entrance to the site to allow for easier and safer access.
