Arran RNLI responded to a second tasking in three days as the crew went to Holy Isle to perform a medical evacuation, their 22nd call out of the year.
At 12.31pm on Friday December 8, the Arran RNLI crew launched the inshore lifeboat Rachel Hedderwick to Holy Isle, responding to reports of a casualty who required medical assistance. Once meeting the casualty on Holy Isle, the crew transferred them to Lamlash to receive further medical support.
Arran RNLI helm Mark Nelson said: ‘This continues to be a busy year for the station and the crew continues to demonstrate the benefits of regular training. Our CAS care work in particular has been vitally important this year.’
