An elephant which has stood in a Brodick courtyard for many years has been left badly damaged.
The large wooden elephant has for generations been an attraction for children in Duchess Court at Home Farm near Brodick, but has never come to any harm.
However, during the busy Easter weekend it was knocked over by some over-enthusiastic children and left with a broken trunk and ear. The elephant, which belongs to the Duncan family, is now on its way to Marvin Elliot who has offered to repair it.
