The audience at St Bride’s Church in Lochranza were treated to a lovely musical evening from the Ten Strings Duo last month. Sicilian musicians Mariana talia Ruscica, violinist, and Davide Sciacca, guitarist, were on a British tour this summer.

Their playlist was billed as ranging ‘from Schubert to the Beatles’ and it certainly included familiar favourites, but the real treats for the audience were many little-known Argentinian and Brazilian works, including Pujol’s beautifully melancholic Palermo and Astor Piazzolla’s lively and emotive Night Club 1960.
