Plight of Arran Whitebeam debate at Scottish parliament

AN MSP has highlighted the plight of the Arran Whitebeam in a parliamentary debate.

West of Scotland list Conservative MSP Maurice Golden emphasised the value of the endangered tree, of which there are less than 900 left, all on Arran.

Mr Golden praised the work of the Woodland Trust to preserve this species as part of a parliamentary debate into the country’s endangered plant and animal species.
