Villages vote

Residents of the villages of Brodick, Pirnmill and Shiskine turned out in very large numbers on Wednesday evening to elect new community councillors. And although all sitting members have been returned in these villages it is an indication that, while most folk do not want the responsibility of being a councillor, they do want a say in who represents them. An election has been necessary in all these villages since more people are standing than there are places.
